Meeting with The Education Minister & One of the families of Conguiana

To make sure our project will be fully supported by all members of the local community we wanted to get approval from as many people as possible. We managed to organize a meeting with the education minister of Inhambane province and he gave us his full unconditional support and really appreciated the help we were offering.

Bottom:

This is a photo of one of the families that lives in Conguiana. The woman is the husband of the village chief and offered us food and drinks everytime she saw us.

A photo of some of the school children with their teachers. The school has to split classes between the morning and afternoon as they are missing classrooms and teachers.

Top:

We travelled north of Conguiana to go and see a bridge that had been constructed for the same reasons but in a different swamp. We mainly wanted to see how the timber would resist in the soil.

Bottom:

This picture is painted on the wall of the school and represents the swamp and the problems it brings. The water well is on one side with a woman who is about to trek to the other side where her home is.
