The Team
The core members of the team are three University College London students, Yonatan Ofek, Ruben Wood and Stephanie Demoullin. We got together at the beginning of our second year of our studies all with the common objective of wanting to put into practice some of the skills learnt during a civil engineering degree. Through a member of the EWB society at UCL we heard about Jan Berther and his idea of building a bridge. Although we knew little about Abracar (Jans' charity) the project sounded good so we contacted Jan, when he agreed to our help the project started.
Since then we have been working as a team together with other students and members of the Civil Engineering Department of UCL.

We would like to give a special thanks to:
Lionel Ward, the then president of the Engineers Without Borders society at UCL, for supporting us throughout the year and supplying us with contacts to help us along the way.
Nick Tyler, Head of the Civil Engineering Depertment at UCL. His help and unconditional support was vital for the first phase of this project. Nick helped us with everything from our project proposal to raising the initial funds needed.
Peter Domone, Beatrice Baudet, Helen Cheng, Tony Swain and Paul Mennel; staff members of the department, for their academic help in advising us on the steps we needed to take to complete an accurate site investigation and their support and help whilst analyzing the data.
Dan Bacon, a student from our year who helped us with our fund raising applications. Dan would have been the fourth member of our team but unfortunately he couldn't come come out for the site investigation so instead he supplied support from back home.
Ricardo for helping us translate the language in the video and Melissa Verduci for helping out with the making of this website.
